Jill and I spent an awesome day in Venice! We visited St. Mark's Basilica, saw many iconic landmarks, and enjoyed a gondola ride on the Grand Canal. And we ended our day with the perfect dinner in the perfect setting.
Jill and I traveled from Venice to the seaport city of Triest, where we boarded the Oosterdam to begin our 7-day Greek Enchantment cruise. Before we set sail, though, I enjoyed a virtual tour in Trieste.
At our first port stop in Croatia, Jill and I visited the rural home of the Juretic family, where we learned about the culture and lifestyle of the people in village of Srijane and feasted on traditional dishes. It WAS a memorable experience!
My buddy Craig took me on a boat ride around Fool Hollow Lake. "Do you know the history of this lake?" he asked. I didn't, but I soon learned about the town beneath the lake and a spirit that floats over the water at night!
