Cartagena, Columbia (December 15, 2019) Our tour bus dropped us near the cruise ship terminal, where we "discovered" this most wonderful park that was filled with colorful free-flying parrots and other birds in a rainforest-like setting. As Debra and I strolled along the paths in this 1,000 square-meter oasis, we also saw iguana, howler monkeys, anteaters, and other regional animals.
Debra LOVES parrots. Monty, an adorable Green cheeked conure, was a treasured member of our family for 15 years. But the highlight for Debra was her close encounter with a baby sloth, which had been on her bucket-list for many years. They say a picture's worth a thousand words - you can see Debra's absolute delight as she petted this remarkably soft animal! We were so glad to have "discovered" Port Oasis. It was amazing! |
