Hikin' Spring Trail

It was a glorious morning - the weather was picture perfect - for a hike, and so I went for a walk in the woods on Springs Trail, one of my favorites in the White Mountains trail system. Along the way, I was greeted by squirrels, birds, and a herd of free-range cows. I enjoyed my hike from start to finish!

​Jill and I had a great adventure in eating—a wonderful introduction to Icelandic cuisine, from mainstream fare to national delicacies. Each flavorful dish was prepared with high-quality and mostly locally sourced ingredients. It was a delicious experience.

We Were Rockin’ and Rollin’ on Star Pride!

​Jill and I transition from land to sea - from Reykjavik to Windstar's Star Pride - and our day was uneventful until a storm set our ship rockin' and rollin' for nearly 24 hours. It wasn't fun...but we survived!

A Very Good Day in Seyðisfjörður

Jill and I visited picturesque Seyðisfjörður, a charming town with stunning landscape in eastern Iceland. We walked about town during the day and toured Skálanes Nature and Heritage Center in the evening. This WAS a very good day!

Akureyri—Iceland’s ‘Capital of the North’

The weather was picture perfect, and Jill and I made the most of our time in Akureyri. I strolled through town center in the morning, and in the afternoon, we luxuriated in soothing water heated by geothermal energy before visiting the Waterfall of the Gods. It was a great day from start to finish!
